In addition to targeted audience views, a feature outlined in my free Using Social Media for Business guide, LinkedIn is now rolling out targeted updates and follower statistics on company pages.
Targeted updates give LinkedIn company page administrators the ability to select who sees an update to your company page based on certain factors.
Follower statistics give LinkedIn company page administrators the ability to track engagement for posts and see the demographics of followers.
Here are a few more details on LinkedIn targeted updates and follower statistics.
LinkedIn targeted updates are designed to communicate in a more relevant and personal way and increase engagement and loyalty.
Compose your post, beside “share with,” select “targeted audience.”
Share with employees or non-employees of your company.
Target by company size, industry, function, seniority or geography.
Followers who match the criteria you selected will see your update in their home page and the update is visible to anyone who visits your company page.
Twenty-four hours after your post is up, you will find impression and engagement information for your post. You can also review your targeting criteria.
Check your follower statistics for information about follower demographics, updates and engagement levels – use this info to hone your message.
Currently these features are only available to select brands on LinkedIn but they will be rolling out to all users soon.
